Loss and Grief

16 January, 2017

Loss is the feeling of grief after losing someone or something of value. Loss is an inevitable part of life. Grief is natural response to loss. The more significant the loss, the more intense the grief will be. Even subtle losses can lead to grief.

Everyone grieves differently and it is an individual experience. The grieving process takes time. There is no “normal” timetable for grieving. Healing happens gradually. It cannot be forced or hurried. It is important to be patient with yourself and allow the process to naturally unfold. Support from others can help you heal. When you are grieving it is important to take care of yourself.
