Self-Awareness

Self-awareness is how an individual consciously knows one’s own feelings and character.

Self-awareness can help us:

  • Regulate our emotions
  • Be better decision-makers
  • Build better relationships
  • Become more confident

Below are self-awareness exercises that you might like to explore:

  1. Be mindful by keeping a journal. Journal your feelings.
  2. Know your emotional triggers. Identity your emotions as they are happening.
  3. Constructive feedback. Asking family and friends for constructive feedback can help us identify our blind spots in our behaviours and thinking patterns.
